The Soprema Suite is a set of technical tools that let users run engineering calculations and manage their results from a single personal workspace.

How we’re involved

We inherited an existing, fragmented platform and took ownership of its day-to-day life: continuous maintenance to keep every subsystem healthy, systems integration to make the different tools work together as one coherent product, and a steady effort of refactoring and consolidation to turn an undocumented, multi-vendor codebase into something understandable and safe to change. Rather than rewriting everything at once, we operate the platform while incrementally reducing its complexity.

How we approached the project

  • We mapped the whole system first. We documented the integration map, the runtime boundaries and the ownership of each subsystem. This is the prerequisite for working safely on inherited code.
  • We centralized orchestration.
  • We integrated providers through a strategy pattern.
