Billy is a configurator that allows the user to create estimates for building heating/cooling systems.

Critical issues

The conversion of complex and customized calculations into code.

Ensuring a simple and practical interface for its users.

The retrieval of data from several other internal company tools.

Maintaining the flexibility to deal with changes of rules and products.

How we’re involved

We have been part of the project from the very beginning. We take care of monitoring, maintenance and implementation of both the backend and frontend.
We are also involved in the technical evaluation of any potential new system features.

How we approached the project

Breaking down the application into logically separate elements.
Creating automated tests to ensure consistency of calculations.
Communicating regularly with the client to create a common vocabulary.
Requesting the client’s active participation in the implementation and testing phases.
